Mariachi Tesoro de San Fernando
The Mariachi Encuentro is typically held in early May. Each year a different Mariachi group is featured. This year's performers will be two of the southwest U.S. premier youth ensembles: Mariachi Chula Vista and Mariachi Tesoro de San Fernando. Admission includes a delicious dinner as well as entertainment. The festival is a wonderful contribution to the cultural expression of the Carpinteria community, and has featured such acts as Mariachi Reyna de Los Angeles and Mariachi Divas. Both of these groups are in high demand for events and festivals throughout Southern California. Proceeds from the Mariachi Encuentro go to support scholarships and programs for girls and young women who participate in Girls Inc. programs.
