TEEN SUMMER PROGRAMS

COUNSELOR IN TRAINING (C-I-T) – the girls become assistant counselors to Girls Inc. Staff and participate in teaching classes and taking girls on field trips, and receive training on various topics, e.g. supervision, conflict resolution, etc.  Participants receive community services for being a Counselor in Training.

UNIVERSITY OF TEEN - evolved as a way to keep the girls involved in Girls Inc.  This summer camp insures the parents’ that their daughters have new learning opportunities in a fun and safe environment.  The girls participate in workshops throughout the day.   Prior to beginning camp, there is a parent orientation to inform parents about the workshops, the rules and expectations, and the educational and recreational outings the girls will be going on.

ASE SUMMER CAMPS

Our summer day camp activities include activities that are focused in the following areas: math, science, computers, sports, art, gardening, cooking, dance, adventure games, woodworking, ceramics, camping, writing and nutrition. Field trips, talent shows, water days, Family Fun Nights and special guest speakers are interspersed throughout the day camp period. Each summer is planned with a different theme in mind. Our operating hours are Monday through Friday from 7:30 am until 6:00 pm. Each child is provided a morning and afternoon snack. We serve girls from Kindergarten to Sixth grade.
