Das Williams

Das Williams serves as the Director of Government and community Relations at Central Coast Community Energy (3CE), bringing over two decades of experience in public service and policy leadership. In this role, he leads legislative efforts to advance clean energy initiatives, ensuring 3CE remains at the forefront of innovation while delivering economic and environmental benefits to the Central Coast.

Before joining 3CE, Williams served as Chair of its Policy Board of Directors, guiding the agency through complex state policy challenges. His extensive background includes serving as a Santa Barbara County Supervisor from 2017 to 2024, where he led efforts on climate resilience, emergency response, and housing. Prior to that, he represented the 37th District in the California State Assembly, authoring landmark legislation to expand renewable energy, strengthen environmental protections, and authored the first red flag (gun control) law in the nation. Williams also served for 7 years on the SB City Council, where he championed environmental sustainability.

Williams holds a master’s degree in Environmental Science & Management from the University of California, Santa Barbara. His lifelong commitment to public service and clean energy solutions continues to shape 3CE’s mission to provide reliable, carbon-free electricity to over 1.2 million residents and businesses across the Central Coast.
